White Gloves (delicate ornamentation)
  1. pristine, sterile hand-coverings worn by women to indicate ladyness and other virtues associated with the Marquis of Queensbury.

Background: The Crack Reasearch Staff of "The Colbert Report" uncovered a rich, pageantry of history for white gloves.

Originally only worn by the daintiest of dainty ladies (all of them), white gloves are no longer worn by the vast majority of American Ladies (and Drag Queens) outside The South.

This shocking epidemic of unlady-like behavior has resulted in more ladies using extra-passive-agressive behaviors to solve problems when sleeping with a rival's boyfriend would have been perfectly acceptable before working outside became the norm.

Without white gloves on her hands, wolmen have lost all sight of what it's like to be ladies and have resorted to using all their pent-up anger doing work men used to do.

Let's just hope men don't do anything to piss them off. Otherwise women will be doing all the fighting in Iraq and men will have to sit at home drinking and watching the game.

White Gloves was The Wørd on the April 27, 2006 edition of The Colbert Report.
