Tupac Shakur could be named as one of the greatest rappers of all time. He was born on June 16, 1971 in Brooklyn, New York. Shakur was a talented person who was involved in school plays such as the Nutcracker and A Raisin in the Sun. Tupac’s career officially rose when he released the album 2Pacalypse now which had an underground feel and was an instant classic within hip hop fans. Shakur had many run ins with the law such as being accused of shooting an officer and being charged with sexual assault. Despite the setbacks he was still determined to make music and dropped great classics such as “Keep ya Head up,” “Get Around,” and “Brenda’s got a baby.”
In 1994, Tupac was shot 5 times while making music in his studio. He immediately blamed east coast rapper Biggie for orchestrating the hit. This started a feud between the West Coast and East Coast Rappers. On September 7, 1996, Shakur attended a boxing match between Mike Tyson and Bruce Seldon. After the fight Tupac got into an altercation with an alleged gang member named Orlando Anderson. Tupac then got into a car and was waiting on a stop light when another car rode beside him and shot the vehicle hitting Tupac multiple times. Tupac was pronounced dead couple days after. He was only 25. By his death his legacy still lives on through the music he brought to the world.
