America thanks you, Paradox Of Thrift

Paradox of Thrift (economic theory)

  1. the belief that during an economic slow down, the poor people who save their pittance are destroying the world's economies, because they are not spending it. This differs greatly from an economic down turn that is rescued by the wealthy people who are saving their money. The paradox exists because everyone expects poor people to go out and buy flat screen TVs instead of saving their money and who really thought there was that many poor people to begin with! LOL!
