Gina Kolata
has been a guest of The Colbert Report
and got nailed in the process

Gina Kolata, stirred, not shaken.

Gina Kolata works for the New York Times, likes piña coladas and getting caught in the rain, but has never had Pat Robertson's Protein Pancakes.

She was Stephen's guest on the May 2, 2007 edition of The Colbert Report.

  • Rethinking Thin: The New Science of Weight Loss and the Myths and Realities of Dieting

Why Rethink ThinEdit

After spending what one presumes is a certain amount of time researching fatness and thinness in America, Ms. Kolata was woefully misinformed:

  • she did not know that thin is in.
  • she did not agree with The Good Doctor that fat people should be judged and denied the vote
  • she did not know that liposucked fat can be used as biodiesel

Another surprising piece of information about Ms. Kolata is that she is anti-fad diet, yet she wrote a fad book? What's with that, Ms. Kolata? Is that what you're really good at, sniping from the sidelines?

Bible HaterEdit

Ms. Kolata also credited the Biblical psalm,

LeftCherubLeftCherubEateth thou less,
Exerciseth thee more
~ The Holy Bible, Psalms 720z:$19.99

to Hippocrates, some gay greek guy.

Nailing A Thin-Hater To The Wall Like So Much Jell-OEdit

Before Ms. Kolata's head got as fat as her facts did, Dr. Colbert played a Biblical card of his own:

LeftCherubLeftCherubBeauty is in the skinny eyes of the beholderRightCherubRightCherub
~ The Holy Bible, Charlene 1:3

Ms. Kolata, like all wordonistas, filthed up the Eagle's Nest with history and research. She claimed the Atkins Diet began in the 1800's, but could not refute the virility that burst forth from Dr. Colbert's all-short ribs diet.

While Ms. Kolata mumbled on about fat people, Stephen had to firmly remind her that skinny has always been objectively attractive, no matter how many pears she put on her book, or how far back she had to go to dig up worthless facts.

And as always, Our Glorious Stephen had to set his guest straight. Dr. Colbert had to help Ms. Kolata with the idea for her next book:

  • discovering the one food that he can eat that wont make him die
