Two structures are surrounded by the water and ash released after a retention wall collapsed, Harriman, Tennessee, 22 December, 2008.
A total of 15 homes were flooded after a dam gave way at about 1:00 a.m. local time. The dam was holding back a 40-acre pond used by the Tennessee Valley Authority to hold a slurry of ash generated by the coal-burning Kingston Steam Plant.
Officials fear damage is worse than originally estimated.
