Arizona Senator and GOP presidential candidate John McCain speaks with a woman who said she felt she couldn't trust Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, at a McCain rally, Lakeville, Minnesota, 10 October, 2008.

The woman was identified as Gayle Quinnell, 75, of Shakopee, Minnesota.

The LA Times reported the conversation[1]:

"I can't trust Obama. He's an Arab."
McCain shook his head.
"No, ma'am. No, ma'am. He's not," McCain said. "He's a decent family man -- citizen -- that I just happen to have disagreements with on fundamental issues."
