Ceramist Francisco Figueiredo opens one of the many phallus casting moulds in his workshop in Chao de Parada, Portugal, 26 June, 2008.

Francisco and his wife Cassilda Figueiredo (not pictured) are among the last exponents of a traditional Portuguese handicraft -- making ornamental ceramic penises. They are painting in life-like colours and shipped to customers in Germany, France and North America.
