An estimated 200,000 spectators turn out to hear Barack Hussein Obama deliver a speech in front of the Victory Column (Siegessaeule) in Tiergarten Park, Berlin, Germany, 24 July, 2008.
In the foreground is a balloon with the Obama sunrise logo and in the background, behind the column is a crane with cameras for a long-shot view of what was once dubbed as "World Cup Fan Mile".
Also, the kilometer between the column and Brandenberg Gate was filled with people, necessitating the use of jumbotron-type video monitors.
