Former U.S. President Bill Clinton greets U.S. journalists Laura Ling (middle) and Euna Lee (bottom) as they board the chartered plane that will take them home, Pyongyang, North Korea, 5 August, 2009.

Lee and Ling were journalists who were sentenced in June to 12 years of hard labor for "crossing into North Korea illegally".

Kim Jong-Il pardoned them and allowed them released after Clinton's visit.
