Beef Hammer was the codename for a U.S. Army mission in Afghanistan that was a follow up to secret missions such as One Eyed Trouser Trout and Operation: Blue Veined Swayback Throbber.

Two of the Freedom Fighters of the mission task force, 1st Lt. Brian Burbank and Sgt. Dustin Clark sent Stephen Colbert an American flag that had flown on 'Defiant 42,' one of the Blackhawk helicopters involved in the mission, along with a certificate honoring Stephen for his "dedication to the pursuit of freedom and truthiness
