Stone Phillips is the 1st and 100th guest on the Colbert Report, and less importantly an anchor for Dateline NBC. Despite being part of the liberal media elite (he attended Yale University), he possesses an uncanny amount of gravitas; he is one of the few people on this planet with almost as much as Stephen Colbert. However, another rematch is inevitable and most people expect Colbert to win the next duel by a larger margin.

Stone Phillips in Fiction Edit

The character "Stones Phillips" is a hard-drinking, womanizing, bad-ass space Green Beret appearing in Stephen's novel, Stephen Colbert's Alpha Squad 7: Lady Nocturne: A Tek Jansen Adventure. At least, he did appear in the novel until Colbert decided that having Tek Jansen and Stone Phillips in the same novel exceeded the machismo quotient. Stephen thus decided to remove Stone from the book.

Employment QuestionsEdit

In May, 2007, Mr. Phillips was let go from NBC for undisclosed performance-based issues. One wonders if Mr. Phillips will ever be able to hold down a job long enough to get married and support a wife and kids.
