The Sex Pistols were a British punk rock band, who despite their name were neither sexy nor lovers of guns. Their communism-inspired lyrics, poor musical skills, and love of monarchy were responsible for a new wave of devil music emerging in America, and helped Jimmy Carter defeat Gerald Ford in the 1976 Presidential election.
