Night of Too Many Stars
From Wikiality, the Truthiness Encyclopedia
Night of Too Many Stars was a Comedy Central sponsored telethon, in which viewers could call in and make a donation to Autism Education.
It was hosted by Stephen's Jewish friend, Jon Stewart, because Sinbad had a prior booking.
Stephen Colbert appeared to present autism with a $50 check from the Stephen and Melinda Gates Foundation, but then gave autism an invoice for $75 dollars to cover the cost of the giant check. So autism owes Stephen $25 dollars.
He also waived his appearance fee of $50,000, putting money in autism's pocket, because charitable giving is what seperates us from the animals. That and the fact that we don't shoot venom out of fangs.
