Meat is generally refered to as any animal tissue that is used as food. There is no food more American than meat, with the arguable exception of apple pie. If there were an apple pie made of meat, it would be the world's perfect food. Meat can only be eaten by God and right-winged bad asses, not by liberal pigs (because pig is meat and that would be cannibalism).
