Forgiveness is the concept of letting another person - or corporation, or country - off the hook for something they did that was bad. The idea is that forgiving another person is somehow a spiritually elevated thing to do, but the truth is it sucks. It feels much better to beat someone up - assuming they deserve it - than it does to forgive them. Even mocking a person feels better than forgiving.

Forgiveness is God's job. Getting even is ours.
