QUESTION: What's flat on top, and round on the sides?

ANSWER: The state of Ohio, the home of the 40th part of The Colbert Report's 434 Part series Better Know A District!

Ohio's 18th District, The Fightin' 18th! was the hard-working district profiled on February 6, 2007.

[edit] How Many Festivals?!

The 18th is the land of many festivals:

  • the Columbus washboard festival, which features washboard music. Is once a year enough?
  • the Sunflower Festival, held every September, hosted in the town of Frankford. Featuring: a pancake breakfast, clog dancing and the Cornhole Tourney - a tradition that is a cross between horsehoes and sodomy!

[edit] Link to Porn

The Fightin' 18th was also the birth home of pornstar John Holmes, who grew up in Licking County.

Efforts to build a statue honoring Holmes have derailed and currently there are no plans for its erection.

Stephen wishes to thank 10-yr-old Chip H. of Daniel Island, South Carolina for that joke. For his submission, Chip wins a copy of Stephen's book Stephen Colbert's Jokes You Shouldn't Get Yet

[edit] Who Best Represents This Land of Washboards, Sunflowers and Porn?

Formerly represented by Bob Ney, the 18th is now represented by Zack Space, the fightin' Space!
