Broccoli is a fruit of the flowering variety. It is tough, stalky, and often green in color.

Broccoli is short for "brocco" (Italian: spear, shoot). It is the colored version of cauliflower.

Broccoli smells like farts when it is cooked. When you belch after ingesting broccoli, even when raw, your breath also smells like farts. When you fart after ingesting broccoli, god help you.
