[edit] Background & Causes
[edit] Who Caused It
Like an earthquake, tornado, or plague, the 1929 Crash was an Act of God. God allowed this crash to happen, not because he hates his "Chosen People" (except for the pinkos), but rather to test his faithful children.
[edit] Who Survived & Why
- Russell Crowe - This former boxer who returned to the ring during the depression to fight the aptly named Max Baer. He became famous and well-fed when he defeated this Baer to become the Heavy Weight Champion of boxing. Crowe continues to fight all challengers (or people who look at him funny) to this day.
- Babe Ruth - The New York Yankee slugger easily survived the depression. In fact, he actually improved in both his baseball ability and financial stability after the stocks crashed. He hit 60 home runs in 1933, which is still a record to this day*, and had a candy bar named after him.
